Thousand Currents (thousandcurrents.org) is a nonprofit that funds and develops long-term relationships with visionary grassroots groups led by women, youth, and Indigenous Peoples in the Global South. According to their website, “For more than 30 years, Thousand Currents (formerly IDEX) has invested in more than 750 community-led initiatives in the Global South. Today, [they] are exchanging grassroots brilliance for lasting and transformative change, working with over 2 million women, small farmers, Indigenous Peoples, urban residents, sexual and ethnic minorities, and youth.”
To recognize the organization’s 32nd birthday, Thousand Currents used a work anniversary ecard using Kudoboard internally to share a few memories, moments, and wishes for the future among their remotely based team. These included GIFs, photos, and messages such as this one:

How To Create An Organization Anniversary eCard
Do you love your business? Do you want to celebrate it in a fun way that involves all the co-workers and leaders? Look no further than creating a group organization anniversary eCard. With a virtual card, everyone in the company can contribute and add their appreciation. Virtual cards are also great for this occasion because everyone can view the card to celebrate the organization together. If the organization is throwing a party, the board can be viewed as a slideshow.
To start creating an organization anniversary eCard, go to Kudoboard and click “create a Kudoboard.” Once there, you will enter in the information. For the recipient, put the business name and for the occasion put “anniversary.”
Next, choose the type of board you’ll need. Likely, you will need a big board. The “milestone board” is a great choice and allows for unlimited board posts. This board is $19.99, but considering how many board posts it allows and other features, it’s a great option for large groups.
Finally, it is time to create the board! Choose the background and make your first post. Invite others to contribute to the organization anniversary eCard by sharing the board. To do this, click “add contributors” at the top of the board. There are four different ways to share the card, guaranteeing that everyone will see the card.
Finally, schedule a delivery date. Share the card with leaders in the company that were influential in creating the company.
