This past summer, Jeremy’s family and friends created him a virtual group card using Kudoboard to wish him a happy birthday and a speedy recovery.
Here are some memorable quotes from the board:
“Happy birthday Jeremy! We miss you and are so grateful for your progress. Sorry you have to be in the hospital for your birthday but I hope you get some extra love today! We’re excited to see you in August!”
Jeremy received dozens of posts on his board and later stated, “A diverse group of people both tech savvy and not ended up contributing to my birthday themed Kudoboard, some with only messages and some with both messages and photos. I was appreciative of everyone’s contribution.”

Tips For Creating A Virtual Group Card
Ecards are great for any occasion, and they are easy to make! It is likely you know someone who has a birthday, anniversary, or other occasion coming up. Why not make a fun virtual group card to celebrate them? Group birthday eCards are affordable (many are free!) and they are fun and easy to make. Here are two tips before you start creating your card:
Get Started Early
Getting started early is really important if you have a lot of people contributing to the card. Starting early gives everyone time to add posts to the board before the scheduled delivery. A week should be enough time, but make sure everyone knows the deadline for the posts.
Think Of A Theme
If you want to make the card extra fun and special, try thinking of a theme for the card. You could start with their favorite show or maybe their favorite animal. Whatever you choose just let the contributors know so they can follow the theme. The recipient will love it and it will feel so appreciated.
How To Create A Virtual Group Card
To get started, go to Kudoboard and click “create a kudoboard.” Next, you can enter in the information (recipient’s name, the occasion, and other information). The following page will ask which type of board you want to use. Mini boards are free and are great for groups that have ten people or less. If you have more than ten people contributing to the eCard, a premium board is a great option and is only $5.99 (this option allows for up to 100 contributors or board posts).
Now the fun part, creating the card! Change the background and add your posts. To add contributors, just click “add contributors” at the top of the board. Finally, schedule the delivery and get excited for the person to open their card.
Thanks for letting Kudoboard be a part of your celebrations!
