Allison Jones recently received a work anniversary group eCard using Kudoboard from her colleagues to celebrate her first year anniversary with her company, Cengage. While there were many great GIFs, photos, and videos posted on the board, it was the messages on the board that really made it special. As one poster noted in their message to Allison:
“How do I thank you enough for the inspiration, energy and authentic leadership you bring to the industry every single day? And I’ve only worked with you for 6 of the 12 months you’ve been impacting this organization! Your reach far extends the Cengage calendar & network and we’re lucky that you’re here – #kudos to you for driving positivity, creativity and transparency in everything you do. #yourock”
Here is another memorable quote:
“What a year it has been! Your laughter, light, and leadership is contagious and we couldn’t be more thankful to be on your team. Thank you for your continued support, we cant wait to see what year two looks like! Congrats on your first amazing year! -Kara”

Thanks for giving us permission to share your board, Allison, and from all of us at Kudoboard – congrats on your one year work anniversary!
How to Celebrate A Work Anniversary
Celebrating a colleagues work anniversary is an important way to let them know they are valued, and keep a positive workplace. Whether the person is celebrating one year at the company, or 20, anniversaries matter and it is important we recognize them. Here are five fun ideas to help celebrate work anniversaries:
Decorate Their Desk
Decorating their desk is a fun way to say “you’re appreciated and happy ____ anniversary!” Don’t be obnoxious with the decorations (unless they would think that’s funny). Maybe add a group gift card to their favorite store or restaurant as well.
Personalized Gifts
This could be a mug with their face on it (any The Office fans?) or a customized fancy pen. Either way, make it something useful that commemorates their time at the company.
Great Parking Spot
If your company has assigned parking, maybe celebrate work anniversaries with a better parking spot.
Take Them To Lunch
Taking a person to a special lunch to celebrate their years at the company is a great way to celebrate a work anniversary. Make it extra meaningful by inviting their significant other and choosing their favorite restaurant.
Group Work Anniversary eCard From Colleagues and Leadership
Finally, an awesome (and affordable) way to celebrate anniversaries would be with a group work anniversary eCard using Kudoboard. Colleagues and leadership can easily contribute to the card, making it extra memorable for the recipient.
