Mark Conger is a lecturer in mathematics at the University of Michigan and the creator of the Douglass Houghton Scholars Program (DHSP). This program offers opportunities for freshman to tackle challenging calculus problems while building a small community within a large university.
As Mark celebrated his 50th birthday this year, nearly 200 university contributors (including past students, friends, and family) wished him well with Kudoboard. The gratitude that students expressed to Mark for his mentorship and guidance over the years, in particular, was quite remarkable. Here’s an excerpt from one such student, Jenna Endsley:
“Joining DHSP was easily one of the best decisions I made when coming here. You’ve impacted my life and the lives of all the students who have been lucky enough to have you in such a huge way. I am so incredibly grateful for everything you go out of your way to do to help me and all of your other students follow their dreams. Thank you for your relentless generosity, kindness, and selflessness. I hope you have the best birthday you could imagine, because no one truly deserves it more than you! :)”

Thanks so much for giving us permission to share, Mark, and we hope you had a terrific birthday!

How To Make A Happy Birthday Group eCard
Group birthday eCards have multiple benefits (affordability, ease of use, and more). You can also use group eCards for multiple occasions (anniversaries, retirement, farewells, birthdays, and more). If you know someone who has a birthday coming up, try creating a virtual card to celebrate them.
To start, choose an eCard site (hint, Kudoboard is a great one!). If you are using Kudoboard, click “create a kudoboard” and enter in all the information. Next, choose which board you want to use. The mini board is free and includes up to 10 posts or contributors, if you have more than that the premium board is only $5.99!
Next is the fun part! You can start customizing your board by changing the background and adding posts. Virtual cards are great because you can add any type of media. You can even make it a themed card (for example, adding only Harry Potter gifs to wish them a happy birthday).
To add contributors, find the “add contributors” button at the top of the board and share the board. You can share it in four different ways (QR code, email, direct link, or social media). Once people contribute you can schedule delivery (just remind everyone to have their posts done by the delivery date).
You can use the board as a slideshow at a party or print it as a book for a birthday gift. Don’t hesitate, make an eCard today and bring smiles to the special birthday person.
